I invite healthcare professionals to open debate around the issues raised in my poster, both those relating to research and to clinical practice.

I would like to thank the authors for reporting the results of their study.

I was wondering the following:

(1) Why did the authors not stain for Th (CD4) and Tc (CD8) as important markers for T cells?

(2) How did the researchers perform the analysis on the biopsies? Did they randomly choose fields in the biopsies or counted the whole tissue?

Thanks!

Dear Sir,

Thanks for the comment.

The answer to your question is as following:

". We did IHC staining for CD3 to identify lymphocytes as a whole, CD20 for B-cells and CD68 for macrophages.

Due to some technical and resource limitation, we did not stain for CD4 & CD8.

2. It was a retrospective study and was done on paraffine blocks, so all the remainnig tissue in the block was stained and counted. Patients with less than sufficeint biopsy material were excluded.

Thanks.
